The center opened in 1998 and trains young adults in a
variety of vocational skills:
·
Carpentry
·
Sewing
·
Metalwork
These particular trade skills present
little or no obstacles for hearing-impaired individuals, and by
excelling in these areas, trainees are able to access quality
employment opportunities.
In addition, products made during
training provide income for VTC employees.
