DEAF CLUB

Objective:  Provide opportunities for hearing-impaired families to get together and enjoy recreational activities and become better integrated into the hearing community.

We offer weekly meetings, marriage and family counseling, sports and games and a summer camp.

In order to build awareness throughout the hearing community that a disability is not an inability, we offer:

• Training for families with deaf parents and hearing children
• Training for deaf adults
• Training for community members
• New DVD for learning sign language

Through these courses and the DVD, we aim to improve communication and break down misconceptions between hearing-impaired people, family, friends and society.
